What the rule requires

  • Designate an agent located in the United States, with a U.S. physical address and an email address. PO boxes and mail forwarders are not accepted.
  • You and the agent both sign a certification that the agent accepts service of process.
  • Keep an agent for at least one year after you permanently stop marketing and importing the equipment in the U.S., or after any FCC proceeding ends, whichever is later.
  • File a Covered List attestation (47 CFR 2.911(d)(5)) with each application.

Covered List check

Equipment and entities on the FCC Covered List cannot be authorized. In 2026 the list added categories including foreign-produced drones, routers, power inverters and robots. We screen every client and decline covered entities and equipment.
